Tips for finding the dress of your dreams

Image
So a few weeks ago I made a post about my first dress shopping experiance. Since then I have gone to several other bridal salons and have purchased my dream dress. I have some pictures that I will share with you in this post. None of them are of my actual wedding dress, because I know my fiancĂ© reads my posts and I won't give him a peak at it. Tip 1: Take more than one person with you.  As tempting as it may be to only take your mom or your maid of honor, take more than one person. It's important to have more than one set of eyes looking at things. We all see little things that the other's may not. For instance one of the gowns I tried on everyone loved on me except for my brother who was able to point out that the style of dress did nothing for my hips and curves and once he pointed it out everyone else saw it too. Make sure the people you take with you are people that are closely connected to the wedding, part of the wedding party, close friends, family, etc. Tip ...

Wedding Dress Shopping

I had my first bridal appointment yesterday. My maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids went with me. We went to a small boutique here in town. To say I was nervous might have been a small understatement, we've gone back and forth between buying my gown and having it custom made by a friend of mine. I love that she didn't balk at the theme, she just listened and then went straight to the racks to see what she could find. We tried two ball gowns, an A-line, a modified A-line, and a mermaid. I was not a fan of the mermaid style dress, it hugged my body in all the wrong places and I could barely walk without tripping on the skirt. I don't have the body for a mermaid and I'm ok with that. I have come to accept tha...
Time Management Wow is that something I struggle with. Those two big words that make my brain short circuit every time I see them. Case and point, I was supposed to have this post up hours ago. Instead, I decided to take a nap and then go to pick up my nephew from his last full day of school, go get snow cones and now as I'm writing this I am watching Breaking Dawn Part 2. I have a schedule it's just really hard for me to stick to it.  That's how it is in life. There will always be things in life that we would rather do than the things that we need to. This blog is something that I want to do, but sticking to a strict posting schedule is hard for me because I do not always do well with being told, even by myself, what to do when. I know a lot of people struggle with this, so here are my tips for staying on top of life and managing your time.  1.) plan out your day Take some time to write down everything you absolutely have to do in a day, from doctors appointme...
